1. Data loss
Encryption protects data only as long as the password is known. If you forget the password of an image, you lose access to its data for good. Never keep important data only in an encrypted image, and make regular backups.
2. Compatibility
Formats of other vendors (Apple Disk Image, VeraCrypt and others) may change. We make no warranty that every image can be opened or that images created or changed with CryptDMG can be read by every version of other programs.
3. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are liable only for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence. We are not liable for damage from data loss, from damaged or incompletely transferred images, from failures of devices or storage services, or from forgotten passwords.
4. Content of these pages
We prepared these pages with care but make no warranty that it is accurate, complete or up to date.
5. External links
The operators of external websites we link to are solely responsible for their content. No legal violations were apparent when the links were created.
