Challenge
SIPprime lets you make calls with your own SIP account directly on iPhone and iPad - clear, fast and in Apple’s design language. Credentials stay on the device.
Approach
The home screen is the keypad, showing the account status.
- Native calls via CallKit, including on the lock screen
- Landline quality with G.711, HD calls with G.722, tone dialling (DTMF)
- Two columns on large screens and in landscape, on iPhone Duo with the fold taken into account
- Audio only: no video, no recording
SIPprime Pro
One account, calls, call history and contacts are free. The Pro subscription unlocks:
- Calls while the app is closed, via its own push server
- Multiple accounts and a ringtone per account
- HD calls and encryption (TLS and SRTP)
- Call transfer and three-way conferencing
No ads, no tracking; passwords are stored in the device keychain.
Outcome / Status
SIPprime is in development and in beta; a release date for the App Store has not yet been set.
