Challenge
From which day are you working for yourself? The app answers this question personally - free, ad-free and without an account.
Approach
- Choose country and place of residence, enter gross salary and household (marital status, children, church)
- The app calculates what share of income goes to taxes and social contributions, and shows the day from which you are, arithmetically, working for yourself
- Optional: Home Screen widget, a reminder of your day or a calendar entry
The result is a non-binding estimate based on public tax rates and contribution rates, not tax advice.
Private by design
All calculations run on the device. There is no account and no analytics; location is optional, and country and municipality can also be chosen manually.
Outcome / Status
The app has been submitted to Apple and is in App Review. It is based on the ESTV tax model 2026; the companion website is available at steuerzahlergedenktag.goldstein.digital.
