App Development in Schaffhausen.
Native apps for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV - planned, designed and built from Hallau in the canton of Schaffhausen. In Swift and SwiftUI, with widgets, push notifications and App Store submission. If you want to have an app built, we take you from the first idea to a running product.
Why native
An app lives on the device your customers hold in their hand every day. It should launch instantly, feel like part of the system, work offline and play well with widgets, notifications, Shortcuts and the Lock Screen. The most reliable way to get there is native: Swift, SwiftUI and the frameworks Apple provides for its own platforms.
That is why we deliberately build for the Apple ecosystem - iOS, iPadOS, macOS and tvOS - and share code where it makes sense. An app for iPhone and iPad can often run on the Mac or Apple TV with moderate extra effort. When a native app is not the right answer, we say so: sometimes a lean web app or a good website is the better route. That is what our web development and web design are for.
What we deliver
- 01
Concept and prototype
Audience, core features and the scope of version one. A clickable prototype shows early whether the idea holds up in daily use.
- 02
Design to Apple's guidelines
Interfaces following the Human Interface Guidelines, with light and dark mode, Dynamic Type and VoiceOver support.
- 03
Native development
Swift and SwiftUI for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV. Local storage, sync, in-app purchases and integrations with your systems.
- 04
Widgets and push
Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, Live Activities and push notifications via APNs - including the server behind them.
- 05
App Store submission
Metadata, screenshots, privacy details, TestFlight testing and submission through App Store Connect until release.
- 06
Operations and updates
Adapting to new iOS versions, bug fixing, further development and analysis of crash reports.
Apps from our studio
We do not just talk about app development, we build and publish our own apps. Along the way we face the same questions as our clients: review guidelines, push infrastructure, widgets, localisation and privacy. A few examples:
- Ave - a Catholic rosary and prayer app with daily prayer, a rosary player with counter, Bible, feast days and widgets.
- SIPprime - SIP telephony for iPhone and iPad with HD audio, TLS/SRTP encryption, conferencing and its own push gateway.
- Streamoya - a private media server in the Mac menu bar that streams photos and videos to the iPhone over your own Wi-Fi, plus an Apple TV app.
- Netzfrequenz - a live monitor of the grid frequency in the European interconnected grid, with push alerts, widgets and 26 languages.
- Steuerzahlergedenktag - shows, based on the Swiss federal tax administration's 2026 model, from which day of the year you work for yourself rather than for the state.

How an app project runs
- 01 · ClarifyFirst call and scope
We clarify goal, audience, platforms and existing systems. The result is a quote with a clearly defined first version.
- 02 · DesignPrototype and design
Flows and screens become visible as a prototype. You test early on your own device and give feedback.
- 03 · BuildDevelopment in stages
Regular test builds via TestFlight. You see progress continuously instead of being surprised at the end.
- 04 · ReleaseSubmission and care
App Store submission, support through review, then updates, monitoring and further development.
Who we build apps for
Our clients are SMEs, organisations and founders who want to solve a specific task on the smartphone: a customer portal, a tool for field staff, a booking or ordering app, an app for members or a digital product of their own. It often starts with the question of whether an app is needed at all. We answer that honestly before writing a single line of code.
Many apps today benefit from artificial intelligence: text recognition, summaries, voice control or on-device analysis. How to integrate this sensibly and in line with data protection is part of our AI consulting. And to make sure your app gets found, we help with marketing, for example through Google Ads and a matching landing page.
Technologies
Swift, SwiftUI, WidgetKit, ActivityKit, App Intents, StoreKit, SwiftData and Core Data, CloudKit, AVFoundation, push via APNs, TestFlight and App Store Connect. For servers and integrations we use lean, maintainable solutions that fit your existing infrastructure. Accessibility, localisation into several languages and careful handling of data are part of the work from day one.
Typical timeline: a focused first version is often feasible in six to twelve weeks, plus Apple's review. Larger projects are planned in stages. Pricing on request, after a short first call.

Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to have an app built?
It depends on scope, platforms and integrations. After a short first call you receive a quote with a clearly defined scope. Pricing on request.
Do you also build for Android?
Our focus is native Apple apps. If Android is required, we look at a web app or progressive web app that runs on every device and discuss the trade-offs openly.
How long does app development take?
A focused first version with a few core features is often feasible in six to twelve weeks. Larger projects with a backend, accounts and several platforms are planned in stages.
Do you handle the App Store submission?
Yes. We prepare metadata, screenshots, privacy details and the build, submit through App Store Connect and support you through Apple's review until release.
Who owns the source code and the App Store listing?
We recommend publishing the app in your own Apple Developer account. We hand over the complete source code in a repository so you stay independent.
Do you only work in the canton of Schaffhausen?
No. We work from Hallau (SH) for clients in Schaffhausen, the Klettgau, Stein am Rhein, Neuhausen, Winterthur, Zurich, Thurgau and southern Germany. Much of the work happens remotely, and on-site meetings are possible.
